During the 1940's and 50's King's Tropical Inn was a popular place to dine in Los Angeles. There were lots of palm trees and an exotic atmosphere - as well as good chicken dinners.
The colorful matchbook cover shows a tropical sunset, and on the back the attractive restaurant building. The matchsticks have the image of one of their chicken dinners. This print is for wall decor and would make a nice addition to a kitchen or den.
Most people keep matchbooks in bowls or notebooks. I put my collection on the wall so that I can appreciate and see all sides at once - front, back and inside. This is the design I made for this great matchbook, and I have made prints of it so that other people can enjoy it too. The prints come with white 11"x14" mats, and are ready to be framed. They are packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and sent in a bubble envelope with cardboard to prevent damage.
