Lovely little mother of pearl box, exquisitely carved in a floral design. It has a red satin lining and a little catch at front which makes a satisfying click when it is closed. Please note, this item has been mended. I have replaced one of the missing mother of pearl panels with a piece of mussel shell which is more iridescent than the rest of the box. This is at the back, or hinged, area and is shown in the first, second, and third photo. Also. there is a bit of the white inlay missing on the inside flat surface, this is visible in the fourth photo. There are some faint marks on the red satin interior and a tiny bit of fabric missing at the inside top of the lid. Still a lovely touch for a dresser table for something special.
This is 3 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall.
