Aldo Merriweather is a halfling of some renown, travelling the Four Lands on a self-imposed quest to deliver the world of the giant vermin which have reached plague proportions in the rural hamlets. Armed with a golden dirk and a giant rat-trap of his own devising, Aldo's services are in high demand… and Aldo gets results! He carries a hessian sack of bones collected from his many victories in battle, trophies which promote his abilities to the humble farmhands and peasants who require his skills the most. The original pied piper, perhaps, with a less-musical approach…

100% handcrafted puppets, marionettes and interactive effigies by Byron Bay-based artists, Sol and Sara. A crazy, colourful and fantastically-fey exhibition of creatures and characters that celebrate the vibrant melting-pot of world culture. Legends and Stories, from the Dawn of Time and into the Near-Future, abound in this unique display of individual artworks.
We individually hand sculpt the basic character and counterweights (head, face, hands and feet) from raku clays fired to stoneware temperature; everything else is from found objects and up-cycled materials. As a result, we keep our prices low enough to offset the time and labour involved, charging little to nothing for the 'art' and so selling direct to the public at an accessible wholesale cost.
Our marionettes are very easy to use. They are designed to have excellent movement and can be used by absolutely anybody from the age of 4 up! Dance them to your music, tell stories from inside you, display them as art or just freak out your friends… Life is a little less vibrant without an interactive effigy to share it!
