Here is a treat for fans of science fiction- the first appearance of Philip Jose Farmer's cheeky appropriation of Kurt Vonnegut's "Venus on a Half Shell" by Kilgore Trout, the lusty space wanderer who just wants answers to some basic, but existentially difficult questions. The story first appeared in 2 parts in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, December 1974/January 1975, plus a 10th printing of the paperback of the entire tale from 1978. The magazines also include stories by Larry Niven, Lou Fisher, Robert Aickman, Zenna Henderson and pieces by Arthur C Clarke and Isaac Asimov. The magazines are overall in very nice shape, minor edge wear, attractive covers, and the paperback has edge wear and general wear from reading.
