This Roseville circa 1945 brown Water Lily vase is a timeless beauty. An American classic with fantastic colors of brown and rust shading which showcases a lovely gold water lily resting on a green leaf. All is finished in a satin matte glaze. The design is repeated on both sides. There is one large handle on the side. The piece is marked in relief on the bottom "Roseville U.S.A. 176-6. It stands 6.25" tall and measures 9.25" handle to spout and 3.75" in width.
In very good condition for its age, there is a glaze flake on the base and a smaller one on the handle, which are clearly shown in the last picture. At one time we think this held a plant, as there is a water ring on the inside. We have done much cleaning and improved the look of it. You can see the ring in the fouth picture.
This lovely piece will display quite beautifully and is an excellent addition to any vintage Roseville collection. Roseville Pottery Company operated in Roseville and Zanesville, Ohio, from around 1890 to 1954.
