Pottery wall tile designed by Swedish icon Lisa Larsson for Gustavsberg in the 1960s. Relief glazed strawberry pattern in green, red and white on black. Measurements: 8.8" / 22,5 cm (height), 8.8" / 22,5 cm (width). In excellent condition.

Lisa Larson, born in 1931, is a well established ceramicist and designer in Sweden as well as on the international scene. Famous among others for her sculptures Small Zoo (1955), ABC-girls (1958), Africa (1964) and Children of the World (1974–75). Larson was born in 1931 in the south of Sweden. Studied at College of Crafts and design in Gothenburg 1949-54. Then employed at Gustavsberg porcelain by the Artistic Director Stig Lindberg. Larson left Gustavsberg in 1980 to work freelance for a number of Swedish companies including Duka, Kooperativa Förbundet and Åhléns. In 1992, she founded Gustavsberg Ceramic Studio with a few of her old colleagues. In the studio, new design and small scale production still takes place

The items sold by Kajsa Ceramics are fragile ones. Special care is therefore taken when packaging an item. Before an object is shipped it will be wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap and then placed into a stable and shock resistant carton-box filled with polystyrene-based packing peanuts.
