These matching forks and spoon are in the Arbutus pattern dating to 1908, marked Wm. Rogers & Son AA, the forks measures about 7 1/4 inches long and the spoon about 5 3/4 inches. These Silver Plate flatware handles are in good vintage condition, the fork tines are slightly bent, scratched and worn and the bowl of the spoon is worn and pitted. For being over a hundred years old they show normal wear and are still beautiful.

I found the following information on the Rogers Brothers;
William Rogers was the eldest of 3 Brothers Simeon and Asa Rogers Jr. being the other Silversmiths. They all had various partnerships that they were involved in the early 1800's. "Church & Rogers", "WM Rogers" and "Rogers & Mead" being a few before they came together.
Simeon Williams was learning the trade and soon became a partner. Simultaneously, Asa Jr. experimented with some other silver makers in the creation of silver plated flatware. Perhaps these experiments played a role in the innovations that Asa and his brother William would make him yet another partnership out of Hartford called ‘Rogers & Mead’. In 1845 this partnership used the innovative technique of electroplating to manufacture electroplated silverware. By 1847 the brothers really began to work in earnest together producing silver plated spoons with the Rogers Bros trademark.
Silver plated flatware is seeing somewhat of a renaissance and while not as expensive as solid sterling silver, it is still very much in demand by collectors and remains enjoyable to collect.
