A very RARE late 60's two-peice outfit, reminicent of the fashions that Sonny Bono made popular on the Sonny and Cher show. I think this belongs in a costume museum!
We are not sure why the label is missing on this suit, as my husband bought it from a men's store that was going out of business, on Grant Street in Buffalo N.Y., and since then it has been worn only twice.
The fabric feels like wool, and this would look fantastic with a turtleneck, and medallian, too! We have been taking excellent care of it, and it is in mint condition, with no holes, fade, tears, or any problems. The hem of the trousers have been let down all the way.
The pants are well tailored, with deep front and pack pockets, and are hip hugger in style, with a slight boot-cut flare of the trousers from knee-down. The bell-bottom-ishness is really most evident when the leg is slightly bent. There is a metal zipper, and has 6 wide belt loops. The pants have a smooth interior, and will not feel scratchy, as the wool fabric is woven with a smooth reverse side, which may be a polyester....not sure. There is a
"Dry Clean Only" inside the trousers.
The vest is fully lined in a sturdy black matt satin. It has two deep front pockets, and a matching belt with a metal buckle, positioned at the hip level. Buttons are original.
