This was purchased, in 1971, by me as a souvenir from my visit to Hawaii. The marbled cone snail is native to the state and can be deadly. Depending on the amount of venom excreted, a cone shell occupant can kill a human in five minutes. The shell is nicely displayed in a brass stand and is in excellent condition.
Measures 5½ inches tall by about 2½ inches wide for the stand. Shell measures 2¼ inches tall by 1¼ inches wide. T & O LTD., P.O. Box 8606, Honolulu, Hawaii.
