Here's a green velvet dress made by my mother-in-law in the 1950s. This vintage dress features a wide stand-up collar, half sleeves, bust darts, and darts at the front and back bodice at the waistline. The skirt is near full, and is pleated all around the waist, with the exception of a flat section at the center front. Add crinolines to flare the skirt. Gold velvet ribbon highlights the collar and the hem. The closure is a zipper in the back and a snap at the top of the collar. The one-of-a-kind dress is unlined, and is in very good, clean condition--I see no flaws.
