Costume Pattern One Piece Civil War Era Dress Full Skirt Simplicity 2887 Undersleeves Detachable Collar Sewing Patterns Uncut Multi Size by VintageNeedleFinds

Simplicity 2887 sewing costume patterns featuring a mid 1800's one piece dress with detachable under-sleeves and collar. Dress is multi size 16 thru 24 and constructed with light boning in bodice area, skirt side pieces are fold over pleats. Bodice closure in in back with hooks and eyes. Bodice over-sleeve is three pieces bell design and includes cuff. Under-sleeve has top band for attaching to over-sleeve and ends in wrist band with lace details. Collar is detachable. Dress is designed to be worn over a hoop skirt and petticoat which are not included in this pattern. Very good pattern with modifications for Civil War reenactments, theatrical events and social events.

Time line is 1863, the original pattern was published by "Der Bazar", (Berlin, Germany) as well as "La Mode Illustree" (Paris, France). Source; Kay Gnagey's website (see below).
