North's Ceramics Motala 1948-1995
Berth Ferdinand Norrman, born in Malmö, November 2, 1919, went first as an apprentice in a pottery and then as a student of Tage Hansson of Skåne painting School. For a few years in the 1940s, he was also employed as a sculptor and designer at Alingsås Ceramics. In the mid 1940s he established himself in Motala and this is also based his ceramic workshop "Norrman's Ceramics". The production made including thrown appliances such as bowls, vases, pots, carvings, sculptures and wall sconces etc. In the mid-1980s taken over the workshop of his daughter Stina who continue the business until 1995 when the company closed down. Berth dies in Linköping on 29 November 2001.
