This attractive “Feature” matchbook was made in the 1930’s and is advertising for a syrup flavoring of anise and cherry, made by the I. Torruella Company that was based in Puerto Rico. The matchsticks were printed and die cut into the shape of bottles. This print makes a colorful and unusual kitchen decoration.
Most people keep matchbooks in bowls or notebooks. I design mine so that they can be put on the wall and appreciated - since all sides can be seen at once. The prints are available for your enjoyment with 11"x14" mats that are ready to be put into standard frames. The words "Matchbook Memories" do not appear in the print.
STYLE VARIATION OFFER: The fourth image you see is another version of the print with just the Cherry image enlarged. It comes with the 11 x 14 inch white mat and the cost is the same as the other print.
